Togbe Sadekla II leads the Sadekla initiative across its three entities — the Sadekla Foundation, Sadekla Land & Resources, and Friends of Sadekla. Duly installed as Dufia of Tsukpo-Sadeklakope within the Fievie Clan, he convenes the customary, commercial, and charitable arms of the initiative in service of the four hereditary sections and the generations who will inherit this land.

His path to this work spans more than two decades of community building, education, and economic development. He served as Executive Director of Nehemiah Economic Development in Brooklyn, where he founded the Solar Pioneers green-workforce training program and the Kofi Hormeku Scholarship Fund for first-generation college students; sat on Brooklyn Community Board 16; ran for New York City Council on a platform of Legacy, Ownership, Vocation, and Education; and taught across institutions from Cambridge College to Columbia University’s Justice-in-Education Prison Education Program.

He holds a Master of Arts in Education Policy and Social Analysis from Columbia University, a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Boston College, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Boston College.
